When did you start riding ice speedway? 2004

What is the best advice you can give to somebody young or old hoping to ride an ice speedway bike?
The simplest thing to do is to simply approach a rider with lots of experience, and try to team up and learn with him.

How/where/when do you practice?
During the Summer, I do a lot of Motocross training (but no actual races!).  I also do as much jogging as possible, and walking in the mountains. Around the end of November, I go to Russia for formal  Ice Speedway training with the other riders.

Your opinion on: a) - The best thing(s) about Ice Speedway & b) - The worst thing(s) about Ice Speedway:
a) Ice Speedway riders are like a big family, and everybody helps one another when needed.  b) I don’t like many of the decisions on the green table (FIM-UEM rules…).

Have you suffered any injuries? If so, what?
In 2007, I broke my hand - unfortunately, my season was over when that happened!

Your typical pre-race meal (if any)?
I don't have a specific pre-race meal!

What are your personal aspirations/goals for this season?
I continue to aim to qualify for the GP (Ice Speedway Gladiators) series.

What is your best ever result?
It was actually this year in Ufa, Russia. I finished 11th in my first GP.  Also, I won the Bronze Medal in 2010 at the World Team Final in Krasnogorsk, Russia.  I replaced Harald Simon in the Austrian Team, because he had big mechanical problems in this race.

What is your favourite track?
Any track in Russia!

Do you have a preference for natural or artificial tracks?
It does not matter, because in my opinion, it is the same for everybody!

Your tip for 'one to watch' / future star this season?
Dmitry Koltakov

On a lighter note...your favourite 'tipple' (alcoholic drink!)?!
Stiegel Beer - you should definitely try this beer!! This is also the favourite beer of my special friend, Ivan Ivanov.

Who is the best rider you have ever seen?
Nikolay Krasnikov

Who do you think will win the Ice Speedway World Team and Individual Championships?
I honestly have no idea. We will wait and see!

Finally, do you/have you ever raced summer/regular Speedway?
No. Never.
